My mom bought Lexie a do-it-yourself pottery kit that allows you to put you pet’s paws in wet cement and then keep it forever.
Today, she and Ben finally made it for her dog and cat. So cute.

We’re fancy and eat brunch!
So now that I’m a whale, I spend most of my time wearing clothes that are breathable and larger than I care to wear. However, today Rob took me out to a very amazingly delicious brunch at a place called Grand Concourse (which, by the way, would be a breathtaking place to get married. It’s an old train station!!)
It was awesome because not only did it have more food than I could ever eat, but it’s fancy so I got to wear my one and only nice maternity dress. Yes, at the age of 28 I still like dressing up :)
Anyway, here’s a sneak peak of one of the plates of food I ate…

Holy cow, I’m old.
My little sixteen year old sister who drives and has a boyfriend and looks like she’s 25 just got a job at Wet Seal. When she called to tell me I said, “Remember when it was called Contempo Casuals?” and I was met with silence.
No, she did not.
So I just went to look it up and found out that happened in 1995. The same year Andie was born.
Great, I’m really fucking old. Someone my age, please tell me you remember.

No wonder our waistlines are getting wider! The average restaurant meal today is more than four times larger than it was in the 1950s.
A shocking new graphic from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention titled “The New (Ab)Normal” shows just how drastically portion sizes in fast food restaurants have been supersized in the last 60 years.
The size of the average burger has tripled, going from just 3.9 ounces in the 1950s to a typical 12 ounces now, according to the CDC.
Burgers are not the only foods to have increased in size, with fries and soft drinks also growing by leaps and bounds.

34 weeks. Holy shit.
I’m 34 weeks today.
I have spent the last 34 weeks waiting for the pregnancy to be over because, honestly, it blows, but it just occurred to me that I could have this baby at any point.
I’m going to say that again: At any point I could go into labor and I will have to push a person out of a hole that is too small.
Up until now the whole thing seemed pretty hypothetical. Even with the boxes of baby stuff lining the walls of this apartment it all seemed like “Yea, one day we’ll have a baby,” but not real.
That sounds really stupid considering I’m sitting here with 40+ pounds gained (ugh) and a giant bump on my stomach that keeps me sleeping and drinking real coffee and eating deli meat and causes all sorts of fun side effects.
Anyway, I’ve officially entered a state of panic. The next 6 weeks should be all kinds of fun.
